JOB DESCRIPTION

Head Barista/Duty Supervisor — Morning Glory Drive Thru, Fitzroy North
$33–$37/hr · 30–38 hours a week · No nights, no splits

Morning Glory is a small independent drive-thru café on Nicholson Street, Fitzroy North. Coffee-led and busy. We’re after someone to take the reins day to day.

What you’d be doing:

  • Leading the shift and one to two staff
  • Ordering and stock control
  • Opening, closing, keeping service sharp
  • Making a lot of coffee

What we’re after:

  • Solid barista skills and speed
  • Supervisor or management experience — or you’re a senior barista ready to step up
  • Own transport
  • Available for early starts, from 5am on some shifts

What you get:

  • $33–$37 an hour, 30–38 hours a week, consistent roster
  • Finished by early afternoon.
  • Small team, and a real say in how the place runs

All-rounder

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 1 year previous experience in the above or similar roles.

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • 1+ years barista experience in a high-volume café
  • Previous supervisor or management experience
  • Confident running a shift solo and leading a small team
  • Comfortable with ordering and stock control
  • Own transport, and available for starts as early as 5am
  • Food Safety Supervisor certificate, or willing to obtain

No nights, no split shifts, no 11pm closes. You’re done by early afternoon and the rest of the day is yours. Small team, consistent rosters, and enough volume to actually get good at the craft.
